Mount Vernon NY @ 4:00PM

That is not lens flare on the outer edges of the sun. That was a circular rainbow. I've never seen it before. God's light show for you and me.

Not Just Chicken

When I proposed to my wife Melissa, I was making pennies @ Manny's Music in NYC. I couldn't afford the ring she deserved but I could afford the band/setting and a CZ for now. We'd get the main stone later on down the road. I know, ghetto. That road was 20 years long. There were opportunities along the way but vacation with the boys took priority. Fast forward. We pull over on a road trip to our favorite chicken spot, Chick-Fil-A. It's situated in a mall next to a Fortunoff that was going out of business. We strolled in to browse and ended up walking out with the most beautiful anniversary band that my wife one day hoped to own. 5 stones (2kt's) set in a gorgeous platinum band, at 1/3 the original cost. We'll never look at this fast food logo the same. It means so much more to us that just chicken.

Another Sunset On L.A.

I guess because L.A. is right on the Pacific Ocean with no land mass to its west, their sunsets last a long time. That long drawn out dusk makes for some great contemplation. I've done this a lot while I'm out there. As the colors change gradually, the spectrum is enormous. You have to keep shooting because every frame has a different look. They don't have many clouds to hold the color but this doesn't seem to matter. Those colors are sticking to something. Maybe God's face. This shot was taken while sitting on some bleachers at a football game in Valencia (Go Sydnee!). They see this everyday. So they pay attention to the game. I looked at the game maybe once. But I had to look at Him.
